National Tree Week

National Tree Week is an annual event by the Tree Council in partnership with Coillte. It is the biggest tree celebration in Ireland providing an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate the beauty and importance of Ireland's trees!

The Tree Council of Ireland along with Coillte are once again delighted to launch National Tree Week at the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin with kind permission.The 2:00 PM event will be marked by a talk given by the esteemed Thomas Pakenham, historian and arborist - &#x27;Talking Trees with Thomas Pakenham&#x27; .Commemorating the event, a tree will be planted on the garden grounds by Mr Pakenham at 3:00 PMNational Tree Week sees events organised across the country celebrating all things trees! From the more hands-on community tree planting experiences to taking some time out to learn how to tell your oak tree from your birch tree at tree identification talks – there is something for everyone. And each year it gets better and better!
