​TheDepartment of Housing, Local Government and Heritageis the statutory body for nature conservation in Ireland.The National Parks and Wildlife Service,  part of the Department, works to maintain and enhance populations of flora and fauna in Ireland and to promote awareness of natural heritage and biodiversity issues. The conference programme will support Ireland’s Fourth National Biodiversity Action Plan open for public consultation in summer 2022.

Ireland’s second National Biodiversity Conference 2022 will be held in Dublin Castle and streamed live online over two days.

Ireland’s second National Biodiversity Conference 2022 will be held in Dublin Castle and streamed live online over two days on June 8th &amp; 9th, in accordance with the latest Covid-19 guidelines. The conference is an initiative of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage in support of Ireland’s Fourth National Biodiversity Action Plan.An excursion to Dublin Zoo, including an after-hours tour, will be held at the end of Day 1 (Wednesday). The excursion is kindly sponsored by Dublin Zoo and is open to all who attend the conference in person on the day.
