We nurture young talent, support emerging artists, and collaborate across art forms to create experiences that are as meaningful as they are memorable.MusicConnects is music that moves Galway emotionally, socially, and culturally.Our StoryIn 2002, a group of people dedicated to creating listening opportunities in their community had an ambitious idea – to bring an internationally renowned classical music ensemble to Galway to enrich the lives of its citizens. With support from local institutions, the organisation MusicConnects was born (previously known as Galway Music Residency).

ConTempo Quartet celebrates the beautiful music Ukraine during this special ConTempo Countywide Concert.

Oughterard Courthouse

<p>Join us as we celebrate the music of Ukraine and stand in solidarity with our European neighbours. ConTempo Quartet will perform a number of works from Ukrainian composers including Valentyn Sylvestrov's String Quartet no. 3. Sylvestrov is one Ukraine's most important composers and recently fled his home country to Germany at aged 84 to escape the current war.</p><p>'More than anything, you have to understand that Ukrainian music ... is first and foremost European music. It is part of the European culture.'</p>
