The M1 Payments corridor has been developed and proposed by The Mill Enterprise Centre, Drogheda, as a means of utilising and adding value to the geographic concentration of ePayments and Fintech transaction companies along the M1 corridor (i.e. PayPal, Vesta, State Street, Yapstone etc).It is an industry grouping of ePayments / Fintech companies, and allied stakeholders (IDA, EI, DCU, DKIT, Louth Economic Forum), promoted by The Mill, that serves the wider geographic M1 corridor in a Fintech vertical known as ePayments.Industry members of the M1 Steering Group include Vesta, PayPal, State Street, Aphix Software, Yapstone, and Coca-Cola International Services.M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet was established to support companies across the North East Region by offering them access to subsidised training in a local setting.  The focus of the M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is to communicate with businesses along the M1 Corridor, to listen to their training needs and current and future skill shortages, and to support them by organising training courses which are impactful, relevant and which deliver results. The M1 Drogheda Chamber Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and member companies.The Millis Drogheda’s community enterprise centre and co-working hub. We support the accelerated creation & growth of healthy new enterprises in the South Louth, East Meath and Drogheda areas. Through our various programmes and facilities we promote and support a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation at every level in the local community.

Training contentDay 1 - GOALS &amp; CONTENTDuration: 6 hours<ul><li>Overview of Industry – popularity of podcasts, key numbers/stats, value of industry / potential to monetise</li><li>Establishing goals, clarity on target audience, what does success look like?</li><li>Finding your format – this will include a workshop where we analyse clips of popular podcasts together, and also start to establish the format that will suit each individual best, based on their strengths. </li><li>Episode structure – powerful intros, creating soundscapes using sound effects and music, optimal episode length.</li><li>5 steps to launch – title, series description, theme music, cover art, and trailer. </li></ul>DAY 2 – RECORDING &amp; EDITINGDuration: 6 hours<ul><li>Recording &amp; studio equipment </li><li>How to record in various scenarios using different set-ups </li><li>Remote recording – how to achieve high quality sound when you’re not in the room together</li><li>Editing audio – basic editing &amp; tips</li><li>Music and sound effect libraries </li></ul>DAY 3 – GROWING YOUR AUDIENCE &amp; MONETISING YOUR PODCASTDuration: 6 hours<ul><li>How to publish on Apple, Spotify and all other major platforms</li><li>Creating a publishing plan to effectively promote your podcast</li><li>Video-recording your podcast – equipment, presentation skills, basic editing, green screen use. </li><li>Organic growth – how to create audiograms, slick promo videos, and pull-quote tiles quickly and professionally using software.</li><li>Paid promotion – the best way to spend budget when promoting your show.</li><li>Monetisation – how to make money from your show, and how others are doing it.</li><li>Using Limor to promote your podcast </li></ul>DAY 4 – REVIEW &amp; FEEDBACK ON PILOT PROJECTS Duration: 6 hoursParticipants will be asked to create a pilot episode of their series following DAY 3.
