Jo-Hanna is an Associate Professor in Addiction. She holds the only addiction specific academic post in Ireland. She is the first Associate Dean of Civic Engagement and Social Innovation at Trinity College Dublin. She leads the Neurobehavioural Addiction Research Group at the Department of Public Health &amp; Primary Care, School of Medicine, Trinity College Dublin.The event will be hosted at the prominent Public Theatre (Exams Hall) directly accessed from Front Square, main campus, Trinity College Dublin. https://www.tcd.ie/visitors/events/venues/public-theatre/ Registration will be open from 8.45 am Speakers biographies:Professor John Kelly is the Elizabeth R. Spallin Professor of Psychiatry in Addiction Medicine at Harvard Medical School - the first endowed professor in addiction medicine at Harvard. He is also the Founder and Director of the Recovery Research Institute at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), the Associate Director of the Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM) at MGH, and the Programme Director of the Addiction Recovery Management Service (ARMS).Professor David Best is the world's first Professor of Addiction Recovery at Leeds Trinity University. He is the Director of Studies for PhD students studying addiction recovery, gambling, regulation of prisons and drug and alcohol treatment in prisons. He is also an Honorary Professor in the School of Regulation and Global Governance at The Australian National University and Chair of the Prison Research Network of the British Society of Criminology.Professor Ed Day is a Psychiatrist who combines clinical work in the NHS with research and teaching. He is an Associate Professor at the School of Psychology and an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at the Institute for Mental Health, University of Birmingham. He was appointed the National Recovery Champion by the UK Home Office in May 2019. He Professor Emily Hennessy is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and the Associate Director of Biostatistics at the Recovery Research Institute (RRI) at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH).Professor Keith Humphreys is the Esther Ting Memorial Professor and the Section Director for Mental Health Policy in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. He is also a Senior Research Career Scientist at the VA Health Services Research Center in Palo Alto and an Honorary Professor of Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London.
