<p>Dr Kendra Reynolds is a poet and academic. She was awarded her PhD in feminist literature and women’s writing from Ulster University in 2018. Her expertise is rooted in fairy tales and folktales, particularly revisions of outdated stories that chart new paths for female empowerment. These academic areas of interest combine in her poetry and she is currently working towards her debut full-length collection. In 2019-2020, Kendra was awarded a scholarship as UK/US Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence where she taught creative writing at the University of Tulsa and Tulsa Community College in Oklahoma and since then she has been working as Research Associate in Literature at Verbal, researching and designing literary programmes to promote mental health and well-being in local communities.</p>
