Common Ground is an arts development organisation based in Inchicore, in one of the most historic and changing areas of Dublin’s south west inner city. Common Ground works across the communities of Inchicore, Rialto and Kilmainham.  It is an arts organisation that is about building a community with creativity at its core, that connects artists with the local people.

B﻿lue and Green with lots in between Walk &amp; TalkJoin us to find out about Dublin 8’s biodiversity, history, and heritage on a Walk/Talk led by two members of the D8 Green Bridge Forum. This is the first Walk/Talk in 2023 in a series titled Blue &amp; Green with lots in between, as part of the programme for Culture Date with Dublin 8. We will walk on a route around the local area and stop at various points of interest. We will learn how our built and natural environments connect to one another and share ideas on how to make our area a greener, healthier place to live for us, our community, and the flora and fauna we share it with. The Walk/Talk will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday 13th May at The Lodge beside Goldenbridge Cemetery, and will finish in Turvey Park, Inchicore. The Walk/Talk will last approximately 2 hours. An illustrated map will be gifted to participants anchoring key points of interest and interesting facts about the heritage and biodiversity of each location. Further informationD8 Green Bridge Forum (D8GBF) is an active forum that values and supports access to and development of quality public green and blue spaces that progress connectivity and community well-being across Dublin 8. The forum meets monthly in local arts organisation Common Ground’s base at The Lodge, Inchicore. The forum emerged from Mapping Green Dublin (2019 – 2022) a collaborative research project led by UCD’s School of Geography, Common Ground, and artist Seoidín O’Sullivan.Saturday 13th May 11:00 AM (2 hours long)
