<h3>Calling all Irish business and industry representatives and policymakers! </h3><p>Join us on May 10th for an industry and action-focused workshop to identify the key challenges, supports, and priority actions needed for you and your value chain partners to be future-fit for a circular transition. </p><ul><li>D﻿ate &amp; Time: 9.30am (Registration) 10.00am - 5.30pm (Workshop), Wednesday 10th May 2023</li><li>L﻿ocation: <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/M2SGPotcpvch9oBJ8" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Raddison Blu Hotel &amp; Spa Limerick, Ennis Road, Limerick, V94 YA2R</a></li></ul><h3>B﻿ackground </h3><p>With support from the Department of the Environment, Climate, and Communications (DECC), Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) and CIRCULÉIRE – a public-private circular innovation network - are running a series of day-long workshops to understand what industry players in high-impact sectors – need in order transition to a net-zero carbon circular economy between now and 2030. </p><p>Through guided co-design workshop sessions, business and policy representatives will be invited to share their perspectives on what’s needed to accelerate their wider sectors’ circular transition between now and 2030 and will explore how a future Centre of Excellence for Circular Innovation can best support industry’s circularity goals and needs.  </p><p>Over the course of the day,  you will hear presentations from circularity experts and industry thought leaders . Parallel breakout sessions will run which are focused on understanding their sectors&#x27; circularity goals and needs, including:</p><ul><li>Dr Geraldine Brennan, Head of Circular Economy (IMR /CIRCULÉIRE) </li><li>Sophie Reynolds, Circular Innovation and Policy Lead (IMR / CIRCULÉIRE), </li><li><strong>Food &amp; Drinks and Packaging:</strong> Martin Hofler, Sustainable Partnership &amp; Development Manager, Origin Green (Bord Bia)  </li><li><strong>Electronics &amp; ICT and Batteries &amp; Vehicles: </strong>E﻿lizabeth O&#x27;Reilly, Head of Environmental Compliance &amp; Membership (WEEE Ireland)</li><li><strong>Construction &amp; Built Environment:</strong> Janet Lynch, Circular Economy &amp; Resource Efficiency Lead (Arup Europe)</li></ul><p><em><strong>More speakers to be announced! </strong></em></p><h3>Workshop Objectives: </h3><ul><li>Join other industry and multi-sectoral stakeholders and reflect on the key needs, challenges, opportunities and priority actions needed for key sectors to transition to a net-zero carbon economy by 2030. </li><li>Identify opportunities for strategic collaboration for around circular economy priority actions and explore future areas for government-research-industry partnerships and supports to achieve shared circularity goals </li><li>Networking and exchange with commercial and value-chain operators in the sector who are embarking on circularising their businesses and value chain. </li></ul><p>Join us and have your say in shaping future circular economy business supports and circular transition opportunities for industry. </p>
