As part of the 2023 Clancy Brothers Music and Arts Festival - celebrating the legendary Clancy Brothers who hailed from Carrick-on-Suir we are hosting our first ever &#x27;En Plein Air&#x27; Visual Art Competition from the majestic Ormond Castle along the Streets of Carrick-on-Suir ...to the serene River Suir Blueway. Date: Sunday 4th June, Time 10am -4:30pm. Rain Date Monday June 5th, 2023. The competition is open to all levels of expertise. Artists must pre-register. On the day of the event, all artists meet at the gates of the Ormond Castle at10am to get their canvas stamped. Artists then can choose their own location from the Castle to the Blueway, set up their easels, equipment and can paint throughout the day until entries are submitted back at the Castle at 4.30pm for the judging process to commence. Winner to be announced at 5.15pm. Judges decision is final. Competition Entry: €10. Closing date June 4nd, 2023 - 10AMPrize is a €450 Tudor Artisan Hub voucher. While participating in the Art in the Open festival event you accept that the organisers can take photographs and videos of you for the purposes of promoting this event in both print media and online through websites and social media platforms. All paintings must be painted on location without the use of photographic references.In the event of rain or inclement weather during the event, it is your decision and responsibility whether you continue painting. You may make your own arrangements to take shelter .Other Terms and Conditions may apply.
