Serpentine Choir and Workshop with Jane Cassidy

Serpentine Choir is a vocal ensemble based out of Bulbancha (New Orleans), Louisiana. Through sound installation and the creation of activated space, Serpentine collaborates with spirit, and with community, to facilitate places for transformation and healing.Jane Cassidy will lead a workshop of listening and group performance exercises on the grounds at Interface. Inspired by the teachings of Pauline Oliveros, exploratory sessions with members of Interface, and her own art practice, Jane will share some techniques to tune in to our surroundings and make sound communally. All are welcome; no experience is necessary.If you would just like to attend the choir performance and not the workshop, please arrive by 3.30 PM.The workshop may take place outside, weather permitting, so please dress for the outdoors with rain gear/raincoat/wellies or appropriate footwearTea and coffee will be provided, please bring lunch/snack with you if desired
