Dollhouse in a Shoebox

Nano Nagle Place is an historic oasis in the centre of Cork City. The lovingly restored 18th century walled convent and contemplative gardens are home to our heritage centre, exhibition space, archive, garden cafe, community hub and design store. The beautiful Goldie Chapel was designed by the architect, George Goldie in 1865 and like the other buildings on the site has been restored and renewed for posterity.

Built an 18th Century dollhouse with a shoebox! Bring your own shoebox but all arts and crafts will be provided. Suitable for ages 5 - 13

<p>Did you know that two of the most amazing doll’s houses in the world were made by Irish craftspeople? Ours will be a bit simpler! This 1.5-hour activity will start with a tour telling the story of Nano and 18th Century Cork. We will then proceed to our art room to make an 18th Century dolls house (each team makes one room) using shoeboxes and crafty materials! Bring your own shoebox but all other art materials will be provided.</p>
