To celebrate #HerOutdoorsWeek, Active Wicklow are hosting a Her Wicklow, Her Outdoors Intro to Sea Swimming Taster at Wicklow Harbour.This programme is aimed at beginners and 18+ years.In this taster session your Instructor will be covering basic safety skills like floating and treading water for open water swimming, breathing techniques to get the face in the water and front crawl basics to get you started putting a few strokes together in the sea. Perfect for those dippers wanting to start swimming and for nervous swimmers who are having difficulties with breathing with the face in the water. The session is very focused on safety and is delivered at a relaxed and easy going pace.About Her Outdoors WeekHER Outdoors week aims to celebrate and encourage more females to get out and enjoy the benefits of being in the outdoors while bringing visibility to the opportunities for females to get involved in outdoor physical activity. This week is all about providing more opportunities for ALL females to escape to the outdoors and try something new. For such a tiny island, there are so many incredible outdoor activities on offer and this should be celebrated to the fullest!We kindly request that you only book events that you genuinely intend to participate in.
