'Faoi Choim na hOíche' is a dazzling flagship Culture Night event, headlined by HYBRASIL LIVE, debuting his 'Drones from the Island' AV show

*﻿MORE TICKETS TO BE ADDED SOON*Presented by Electronic Music Council, &#x27;Faoi Choim na hOíche&#x27; (under the cover of night) is an immersive exploration of the people and places shaping Irish electronic music. A collection of exhibitions and workshops will take place from 9pm-11pm at Cork City Hall (no ticket required), before the showpiece finale in the main Concert Hall of Cork City Hall runs until 2am.*﻿Please note: Exhibition and Workshop (9pm -11pm) are not ticketed &amp; entry is free. Ecstatic dance workshops will be taking place every 30 minutes during this period*Headlining this event is HYBRASIL Live, an Irish-born, Berlin-based live act who will be performing the premiere of &#x27;Drones from the Island&#x27;, an audiovisual show spawned from a multi-year collaboration with Tom Hodgkinson of Bristol-based design studio SHOP. The AV show draws inspiration from ancient Celtic civilisations &amp; mythology, juxtaposing these themes with the rugged, post-industrial futurism of Techno in a modern city. HYBRASIL has long been developing this concept, seen as far back as 2020 with the enthralling visuals released accompanying the eponymous track from the &#x27;We Don&#x27;t Flip&#x27; EP, released on the Rekids imprint.Also taking to the stage is DJ/Producer Cailín, who - for the first time - will be playing under both of her aliases (Cailín/GRL) simultaneously. Under her Cailín alias, she has gained international recognition for her uncompromising approach to DJing. Her accomplished technical skills, inspired selections &amp; resolute adherence to the traditional format of the vinyl record has brought her to stages across Ireland and Europe, playing all manner of techno. Started in 2022, her GRL alias has provided an outlet for her house-music focused selections. Through this alias she has performed on stages across Ireland, most-recently as part of a lineup featuring Kerri Chandler among others for District 8.This free event is supported by the Arts Council as part of Culture Night Late 2023, with additional support from local businesses: Poachers Drinks, The Woodford &amp; Satellite Taxis.*﻿This is a non-alcoholic event.**﻿This event will contain flashing images and will not be suitable for those with photosensitive epilepsy.*On the night of the event there will be volunteers available to help if anyone has mobility difficulties. We also understand that not all afflictions are visible so do not hesitate to tell our volunteers if this is the case. Our volunteers have also been notified that people with mobility issues may skip the queue at the entrance to the event to make entry easier. Emotional support and guide dogs will be permitted provided they are wearing correct service animal badges. The culture night buses running between the events have ramps for accessibility.
