Night Time Economy Summit

(NTE) Night Time Economy Summit will bring together key stakeholders to discuss how to enhance and develop Dublin's NTE. The aims of the summit are to share knowledge and perspectives, obtain insights and ideas, and to highlight opportunities for collaboration and development, in order to then inform stakeholders regarding future policy formulation and strategies relevant to NTE development in Dublin and further afield. NTE Summit will feature key note addresses, panel discussions on key themes and networking opportunities.

NTE Summit Collaboration & Support

NTE Summit is led by Dublin City Council in collaboration with and supported by the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan to 2024 and various stakeholders including: Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media; Department of the Environment Climate and Communications; Dublin Town; National Transport Authority; Dublin Convention Bureau; Fáilte Ireland; Native Events; DCC Climate Action Office; IBEC; Give Us The Night etc.

Dublin City Summit Series

This summit is taking place as part of the Dublin City Summit Series - an initiative of the Economic Development and Enterprise Strategic Policy Committee (SPC) which is made up of councillors, industry and community representatives. Each summit brings together key stakeholders including policy makers, elected officials, topic experts and practitioners to share insights, information and perspectives in order to encourage greater collaboration, awareness and development regarding relevant policy issues and challenges facing the city. After each summit, an Outcomes Report is produced and disseminated to support future policy formulation, knowledge sharing and relevant economic development. Night Time Economy Summit - Policy / Project Alignment

The event is being hosted in alignment with:

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals / Act4SDGs. The event is being managed and hosted in alignment with and towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) in particular: 4 Quality Education; 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth; 9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; 10 Reduced Inequalities; 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities; 12 Responsible Consumption and Production.
  • Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media: Report of the Night Time Economy Taskforce and Night Time Economy initiatives
  • Department of the Environment Climate and Communications: Whole of Government Circular Economy Strategy 2022 - 2023
  • Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan to 2024 in particular towards achieving: Strategic Objective 2, Action 2.5: Develop Dublin as a flagship for the night-time economy.
  • Dublin City Development Plan 2022-2028 in particular regarding section 7.5.7 and CCUV35: Night Time Economy - To support and facilitate evening / night time economy uses that contribute to the vitality of the city centre and that support the creation of a safe, balanced and socially inclusive evening / night time economy.
