Challenging White Feminism: Beyond the Politics of T4Y

MERJ

More than a year on from the Referendum to Repeal the 8th Amendment, Together for Yes and the Repeal campaign continue to hold a dominant position in the public imagination and understanding of Irish feminism. We are hosting this event to challenge the narrative surrounding Together for Yes as a model of intersectional feminism and to address the continued exclusion of migrants, ethnic minorities and Travellers from Irish feminist discourse in order to move past the dominance of liberal white feminism and build a more radical and inclusive feminist movement in Ireland. We invite anyone who was involved in Repeal as well as anyone who is interested in building a radical intersectional feminist movement in Ireland to participate. Please note that there is a waiting list as there is a possibility of venue change allowing more tickets to be issued. We are prioritising POC, migrant and Traveller voices so if you cannot get a ticket, email us with your details.

Solidarity,
MERJ
