<h2>&quot;How do we &#x27;carry Nano&#x27;s Lantern&#x27; ... and &#x27;hear the cry of the Earth and those kept poor&#x27;&quot;?</h2>Today, more than ever before, we need people like Nano Nagle*. We need people of courage who are prepared, if necessary, to &#x27;spend themselves&#x27; for love of the poor and of the planet. This is what it means to carry &#x27;Nano&#x27;s Lantern&#x27; in the often dark and challenging times of the 21st century.<h3>Speakers</h3><h3>Keynote speaker: Jane Mellett</h3>Jane is Laudato Sí Officer at Trócaire, at present promoting Laudato Sí within the Church in Ireland. Jane was also Project Co-ordinator of &#x27;Our Common Home&#x27;, the eco-project of the World Meeting of Families (WMOF) 2018. Prior to this she has worked as a parish pastoral worker in the Archdiocese of Dublin and has many years experience of working in religious education, pastoral ministry and development education.<h3>Pádraic Fogarty</h3>Pádraic is an ecologist and scientist, and currently serves as Campaign Officer for the Irish Wildlife Trust (IWT). Pádraic was chair of the Irish Wildlife Trust from 2008-2012, editor of the magazine &#x27;Irish Wildlife&#x27; from 2009-2018. He is also author of the 2017 book: &quot;Whittled Away - Ireland&#x27;s Vanishing Nature&quot;. <h3>About the day</h3>Venue: Mount St. Anne&#x27;s Retreat &amp; Conference CentreDate: Tuesday, 26th November Time: Starting 10.00 am (prompt) and finishing at 3.30 pmTea/Coffee will be served on arrival at 10 am and lunch will be provided at 1.00 pm.(The nearest train station is Portarlington). <h3>How to book</h3>This event is free of charge.
