Cappella likes to sing a mixed repertoire ranging from well known light pieces to Irish traditional pieces, to classical and Sacred music.

Cappella is a mixed voice choir, with approximately 30 members, based in Dublin. Some of our members have been singing together for over a decade.

Cappella’s present formation dates from 1998 when Vincent Whelan became Musical Director. From the outset it was decided to combine competitive singing with concert performances.

Cappella has made its mark on the competition circuit, winning prizes in Ireland and Britain. On the concert platform we have sung for the President of Ireland, and performed with international artists at the National Concert Hall.

We regularly sing at concerts to raise funds for charity. Our participation in concerts has taken us to Britain, France, Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in recent years.
