Bookbinding Weekend Course

Cork Printmakers is a print studio providing artists a creative and well-equipped environment in which to work, and offering audiences a diverse and inclusive environment in which to experience, appreciate, understand and enjoy art. As a resource organisation, it generates professional development opportunities to members and guest artists. Through its showcasing function, it produces and presents art by it's members through it's exhibition programme. It plays a key role in the cultural ecology of Cork and is recognised for its activity in Ireland and internationally.

Learn the principles of basic bookbinding and a series of bookbinding techniques

Weekend Bookbinding Course10-5 Saturday &amp; Sunday 20-21 AprilTutor: Elize De BeerJoin Printmaker and Bookbinder Elize de Beer on our beginners bookbinding workshop weekend. On the first day you will learn a series of pamphlet, folded and non-adhesive bindings, taking you through the basics of bookbinding concepts, techniques, tools and materials.On the second day, you will learn how to bind a traditional hardcover notebook. Applying all the techniques learned on the first day.No previous experience required. All tools and materials provided. Terms and Conditions:Course times and places are not transferable. Cork Printmakers does not refund fees paid by participants who subsequently cancel their place. If course participants cannot attend or miss classes Cork Printmakers will not provide alternatives. Cork Printmakers reserves the right to cancel the course with insufficient enrolment, and when this occurs any and all prepaid fees are refunded.
