Courtroom Interpretation and Uneven Bilingualism in Wales and the Republic of IrelandThe second in this seminar series funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council explores the uneven bilingualism – where a person is significantly more fluent in one language than another - within an official language context both in Ireland and Wales. The seminar brings together experts in the fields of language acquisition and loss, psychology, as well as legal practitioners and members of the judiciary to examine how uneven bilingualism can present, and how it can be accomodated in courtroom settings and through the use of interpretation. This event is taking place in a hybrid format.
