The South East Local Enterprise Office's, in partnership with 3 Counties Energy Agency (3cea), have identified a need to work with businesses in the region to assist them in transitioning to a Low Carbon Economy. Low carbon translates into savings in Water, Energy, Waste, Procurement and Transport management.Tipperary Local Enterprise Office is holding a breakfast briefing to showcase to businesses what they can do .Ger Crosse from Woodco Energy Solutions will discuss the benefits of switching to wood pellet boiler systems for your business.Clune Mushrooms will talk on what they have done in making their business more sustainable by replacing oil boilers with biomass and looking at solar photo-voltaic. The Apple Farm case study will be presented which deals with their improving efficiency within their business. Siona Daly of Tipperary Energy Agency will give an overview of supports available for interested businesses. Siona will talk about projects in Tipperary in recent years and those planning on works in 2020. 3cea will give a presentation on grants available to SMEs and how to access theses supports and grants.Sustainable competitive advantage is the key to business success. It is the force that enables a business to have greater focus, more sales, better profit margins, and higher customer and staff retention than competitors.Registration for the event starts at 8am in the Anner Hotel, Thurles, Co. Tipperary.
