A FINAL RESPONSE TO COVID-19
Event Information
About this event
Will consistent booster doses maintain our ability to fight the virus? How else can we gain immunity long-term? Will society ever be able to live safely with COVID-19?
We are now two years into the COVID-19 pandemic but the virus is still disrupting societies across the globe. In 2021, it felt like light was at the tunnel with the introduction of innovative mRNA vaccines designed to counteract the virus. In Ireland, vaccine uptake has been positive with 10.1 million doses administered and 77.2% of people fully vaccinated but in December, the new Omicron mutation threw hopes off course as cases started to spiral.
We are assembling the full panel from our early RAPID RESPONSE TO THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS for one final discussion focused on living with COVID-19. This online event will run from 13:00-14:00 and will feature Maria Delaney, investigative journalist for Noteworthy, in conversation with Cillian De Gascun, David McGrath, Karina Butler, and Nigel Stevenson. Prepare your questions for the panellists or join the conversation on Twitter and Instagram by following @SciGalleryDub.
This will be one of our last events at Science Gallery Dublin before the current model closes permanently. Find out more information here.
