Welcome to Abbeyleix House and Farm's annual Family Day and Trail Run!
Join us for a fun-filled day at Abbeyleix House and Farm! This event is your chance to enjoy the summer vibes with exciting activities, delicious food, and great company. Whether you're a local or just passing through, you will want to attend this event. Bring your friends and family along for a day of laughter and relaxation.
Start the day with an invigorating 10K Trail run through the ancient Oak Woodlands. Registration is from 9 a.m., and the run starts at 10.30 a.m.
(Only registered runners will be admitted for this)
The family day begins at noon, with craft vendors lining the beautiful Stable Yard, ready to delight with their wonderful creations, and a variety of activities to delight through the day:
- Train rides and face painters for the big & little kids.
- A spectacular Air Show throughout the afternoon, so plan to spend the day.
- Explore the Walled Gardens, stroll by the river, and breathe the country air.
- There is so much more to see and do; this is an event not to be missed!
All shows, activities, games and sites are included in your ticket price.
Food, snacks, and drinks are available for purchase from our specially selected vendors throughout the grounds.
100% of all ticket sales, vendor fees and sales from our Abbeyleix House and Farm Kitchen Pantry go directly to charity.

- Order of Malta - Ambulance Equipment

We have three ticket options available:
Family Day
Adult Ticket: €20
Child 5-16 Ticket: €10
Child under 5: Two complimentary, with one adult ticket.
Trail Run Only: (over 12's only)
Run Registrations: €20

Adult Entry Ticket for Both: €30
Child Entry Ticket for Both: €20
Tickets are strictly sold before the event; they will not be available on the day, and only Registered Cars will be admitted.
Parking is complimentary but limited; remember to book your parking space now. Only registered cars will be admitted.
All other access is via courtesy bus from Abbeyleix Town at The Manor Hotel R32VE24 and The South School R32PP79.
The gates open for the family day at 11.30 am. The last entry is at 4 pm. Please note that the event will finish at 5 pm.
Frequently asked questions
We will have a complimentary shuttle bus departing from The Manor Hotel R32 VE24 and from Abbeyleix South NS R32 PP79. Please park respectfully within the town of Abbeyleix, all cars are parked at owner's risk.
Ticket Sales will close on Friday June 7th, or once all tickets are sold whichever comes first.
You can expect fun for the whole family. There will be food and crafts from local vendors. Roaming entertainers will keep the kids entertained. Enjoy live music throughout the day and special events including our Air Show (Weather Permitting)
Yes, there will be local produce to purchase in the food and craft fair as well as some hot food options from food trucks.

The event is open to all ages. All patrons must have a valid ticket including minors. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The 10K trail run is restricted to over 12's
There will be face painters, garden games, mini trains, a plane display and much more.
No all tickets must be pre-booked.
Please note, the Family Day is an outdoor event on the grounds of Abbeyleix House and Farm. Some areas are hilly and steep and could become muddy in the case of rain.
Unfortunately this is not possible. Your money has been donated to our local nominated charities - thank you for your kind donation.

Yes, a bag drop will be available at the start area. Please do not place valuable items, or items that may be easily damaged in your bag. Any discarded clothing will be given to charity.
Parking will be available on site for those registered . Parking is approx. a 10 minute walk to registration desk.
No, it is a fun trail run through the ancient Oak Woodlands.
The run will be marked in kilometres.
No, a snack pack and water are provided at the finish line.
Spectators are welcome at the start and finish line of the course. Do not, under any circumstances park on or block any routes along the way as this may cause a safety hazard. Public health and safety are of paramount importance.
You will need to register in advance to ensure we comply with health and safety requirements. The race capacity will be capped and once this is full it will not be possible to participate.
