Who Should Attend: The course is specially designed for those who wish to or currently use, select and fit abrasive wheels in the workplace.

Course Duration: 9:30 AM - 1.00 PM

Course Content:

  • Abrasive wheels regulations
  • Identifying the hazards of working with abrasive wheels
  • Selecting the correct wheel for the job
  • Inspection & testing of abrasive wheels
  • Guarding grinding and cutting operations
  • Dressing and truing of abrasive wheels
  • Functions of components, flanges, blotters, etc.
  • Differences between grinding and cutting operations
  • Safe mounting of the abrasive wheels

Certification: A Guardian Safety Abrasive Wheels Training Certificate (3-year certificate) is awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course.

Participants can select their preferred attendance method, either participating online through Zoom or attending in person.

Pre-requisites to attend the course:

All participants must be fluent in English.

If you have opted to attend online via Zoom you will need a PC, Laptop, Smartphone, etc. with audio/video & Internet. Ensure a browser is running correctly (Google Chrome, firefox, etc) or the Zoom Application is installed.

If you have opted to attend in person, registration will begin 15 minutes prior to the start time of the course.
