Pressures continue to build on farmers and society due to water quality, use of peatlands, biodiversity and climate change. The presentation will provide details of an alternative to conventional agriculture taking place at Derreighter Farm near Oughterard. The EU HORIZON project is coordinated by University of Galway and Forum Connemara.Speaker Bio: John O’Sullivan is a Galway native and runs Derreighter Farm with his family. The farm is evolving over the past decade and achieved organic status in January 2025. He works as nature strategy manager with SSE Renewables and serves as a director of Corrib Beo.
