Overview

A magical evening awaits! Join Hazel McBride and Shauna Lawless for an evening of fantasy romance, lively chat, Q&A, and signings.

Join us to celebrate bestselling author Hazel McBride and her new novel A Queen Crowned in Flames at a special in-conversation event with Shauna Lawless. Hazel and Shauna will discuss the Bonded to Beasts world celebrating her epic, flame-forged world of magic, power, and romance, answer audience questions, and sign books.

HAZEL McBRIDE, originally from Scotland, is now based in the Netherlands. Hazel is a widely travelled author whose background in psychology and love of diverse cultures shape her storytelling. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, she is passionate about centring queer and diverse characters in her fantasy romance novels.

SHAUNA LAWLESS is an avid reader of the mythology, folklore and history of Ireland. Her love for all these things inspired her to write the Gael Song, a historical fantasy series chronicling some of the most turbulent wars of medieval Ireland. Her critically acclaimed debut novel in the Gael Song series, The Children of Gods and Fighting Men, was nominated for Best Debut at the British Fantasy Awards. Shauna has also been awarded the Chrysalis Award by the European Science Fiction Society. She lives in Northern Ireland with her family, and when she is not with them, you can find her writing her stories or curled up with a good book.
