This workshop is for parents of autistic children who struggle with food.
This workshop, 'Autism & Eating: Understanding, Sharing, Supporting', is facilitated by JoAnn McComish, a Registered Associate Nutritionist with a background in public health nutrition research, a special interest in neurodiversity and nutrition, and experience developing feeding support pathways with Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT). As an autistic adult and parent with lived experience, she brings both professional and personal insight into the realities of autistic eating challenges and ARFID. The session is designed as a supportive space for parents to understand why these feeding patterns occur, share experiences, and explore practical neuroaffirmative approaches together.
