Event description
AVTRW Irish Branch Annual meeting, 4th October 2019

About this Event

The Irish Branch of the AVTRW (Assoc. for Veterinary Teaching and Research Work) invites colleagues with an interest in innovative advances in veterinary disease management and breeding to join them on the 4th October 2019 at Teagasc, Grange, Co. Meath

There is an exciting schedule planned with speakers including Professor Eric Morgan (Queens University, Belfast) talking about the impact of climate change on pathogen diversity and Professor Helen Sang (The Roslin Institute, Edinburgh) discussing the development of transgenic animals and their potential use in agriculture.

We would also like you to participate! If you would like to speak or present a poster at the upcoming meeting on any veterinary related research topic, please send written abstracts (Max 300 words) to AVTRWabstracts@gmail.com indicating whether you want to give an oral or poster presentation. The closing date for abstract submissions is 1st September 2019. There will be prizes for the best poster and best talk by an early-career researcher.

The registration cost is €36 for non-members and free for members (who have already paid their membership fee). Colleagues from DAFM who are funded centrally should sign in as members. The registration includes lunch and coffee breaks.

Please register using the appropriate link below.
