Welcome to the Boyne Valley Trails September Walking Festival.
Back for 2024, join guide Dusty on his guided tour of the Beaulieu Estate and Gardens.
Explore Beaulieu and Newtownstalaban in an area full of history, nature and wildlife. This guided walk is off the beaten track in the woods and fields of the Boyne Valley east of Drogheda.
Parking at Beaulieu House A92 PD3R.
Gates open at 9.45am with walk starting at 10am sharp and finish at approx. 1.30pm .
Gates will be closed once walk begins .
No dogs allowed other than guide dogs
Please not: This walk covers varied terrain, so we highly reccomend waterproof footwear.
Dusty, your guide on this walk, is a proud member of Leave No Trace. Please bring all litter with you to place in recyling at home. We also highly encourage the use of re-usable water bottles.

Frequently asked questions
We recommend planning for the changeable Irish weather. We suggest that you bring, warm light layers, a waterproof jacket and waterproof footwear, hat, sunglasses, water and snacks. You may bring walking poles also, if you desire.
This walk takes place over mixed terrain, through woodlands and across fields. Expect there to be some mud and please wear the appropriate footwear. A clean pair of socks and shoes to change into afterwards doesn't hurt either.
Yes! We will stop roughly halfway through the walk for a snack break. Please pack your own snacks, water, flasks of tea or whatever you fancy. Just remember to bring your litter with you to place in a recycling bin at home.
