Beginner Tennis Course
Overview

Ready to serve up some fun and learn the basics of tennis in a chill, friendly setting?

Have you always wanted to try tennis but never knew where to start?

Join our Dublin Beginner Tennis Course, designed specifically for complete beginners and novice players. Our goal is to make tennis fun, safe, and easy to learn, while giving you the skills and confidence to enjoy the game.

What You Will Learn

  • Basic grip techniques and stroke mechanics: forehand, backhand, serve
  • Footwork, balance, and movement on the court
  • Tennis rules, scoring, and court etiquette
  • How to rally, play mini-games, and enjoy social tennis
  • All lessons use beginner-friendly red balls to make learning easier

  • Beginner-friendly red balls and optional racquet purchase make starting easy
  • Learn from a certified, experienced, and insured coach in a fun and supportive environment


Course Structure & Schedule

  • Small group lessons for personalised guidance
  • Each session is 1 hour long
  • Flexible schedule: while we have default times, sessions may be rescheduled to other times on the same day depending on participant availability

Saturday 14:00–15:00 Single session€15 / session or Package€49 / 4 sessions

Sunday 11:00–12:00 Single session€15 / session or 4-session course package€49 / 4 sessions

Parking:

  • Free parking available on weekends at designated campus car parks (look for campus signs).
  • Please follow signage and park only in permitted areas.

Public Transport:

  • From The Spire / O’Connell Street /City center: take Bus E1 E2 19 towards DCU, get off at Albert College Park stop/Albert College Court.

Tip: Check the live Dublin Bus app/Google Maps for real-time departures to plan your journey.


Equipment & Clothing

  • Comfortable sportswear and tennis shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunhat and sunscreen recommended
  • Tennis racquets may not be available for all participants.
