Welcome to the Beginners Kayaking Course!
Are you ready to dip your paddle into the exciting world of kayaking? Join us at Graiguenamanagh Canoe Club for this hands-on course designed for newcomers. Our experienced Canoe Ireland registared instructors will teach you the basics of kayaking, from paddling techniques to safety tips, Club membership and Canoe Ireland membership is included in course fee.
Once you have successfully completed this course you will be eligible as a club member to take part in our weekly club nights and trips and you will be well on your way to gaining a Level 2 Kayak award at the end of the paddling season. So whether you're looking to explore new waters or just have some fun, this course is perfect for beginners.
This Course is Run over 4 nights
Tues 30 April, Weds 1st May, Tues 7th May, Weds 8th May Time 7pm-9pm
you will need to attend all 4 evenings.
We will supply all the equipment and necessary gear you will need, wetsuits are available if you require one. (kayaks are sit in boats)
What to bring: an old pair of shoes you can get wet in (runners are perfect )(no flipflops), a towel, change of clothes if you require). Toilets and shower facilites available.
You must be able to swim and be happy to get wet -
Juniors are welcome with parent / guardian paddling with them on the course
the mimimun age is 12 years old **
