Bike Town Festival is the culmination of lots of past bike events in Eamonn Ceannt Park into one super event for Bike Week 2024. Brought to you by The Bike Hub and OldVelos, Bike Town Fest will turn Sundrive Velodrome into a party celebrating bikes and those who love them!
The event kicks off at 12 with Pedal Party Parade at the Sundrive Pavillion Building! Come dressed as your favourite bug, animal, or flower for a colourful parade around the park. (come by between 11-12 if you want to borrow our costumes for free!)
The Velodrome aka the 'Town Gates' opens at 12:20 when the parade has made its way through the park and to the entrance gates. Once inside the town check out:

"The Mechanic Shop"
Free safety checks from The Bike Hub to make sure your bike is roadworthy for the summer (we'll do minor adjustments too)

"Fleet Showroom"
Try out our accessible bike fleet with 3 wheels, bikes for 2 riders, and bikes that come with someone who pedals for you. Then, book time to use them whenever you want to*, for free! (*Cargo Tricycles, Tandem bike, and Cycling Without Age Trishaws for those in the know are free to book on thebikehub.ie/book-online)
"The Tattoo Parlour"
Xplicit Bikes will be doing free tattoos all day... for your bike frame! Choose from tons of designs. Doesn't hurt a bit.
"The University" - The Bike Hub will demo a different bike maintenance skill every 30 mins. Borrow some tools and learn some maintenance!
"The BMX Park" - this is exactly what it sounds like because BMX bikes and urban areas go hand in hand. Try a BMX bike on the obstacle course!
"The Parking Lot"
A spot to park your bike while you wander the grounds.

Nope, come down and try some of our accessible bikes, or our e-Cargo Bike, take a look at the show bikes, and learn some bike maintenance just for the craic. Bleeper and Moby bikes can be parked on the sheffield stands around the entrances of the park.
