FAQs

Who is this workshop for? This printing workshop will suit beginners looking for an introduction to surface design and decoration.

Is there an age limit for the workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above. A teenager over 15 may attend if they are accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the workshop? The nearest Luas Red Line stop is 'Four Courts', (a five minute walk away) and many bus routes service Stop 1479 on Ormond Quay, at the junction with Capel Street. You'll also find a Dublin Bikes stand at each of these locations. Due to our City Centre location, on-street parking immediately outside the building is limited, but there is pay and display in the general area, and there are large car parks nearby at Jervis Shopping Centre and beside the Fruit and Vegetable Markets.

What does the workshop entail? You will be welcomed by your teacher and brought to your classroom. Each participant will have access to their own tools for the duration of the workshop. We supply all the materials you need. Each workshop ends with a class and equipment tidy up - another important part of the artist's training!

What should I wear/bring? Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy. Please bring your own apron (or an oversizes T-shirt) and a hand towel.

Is my booking transferrable and what is the cancellation policy? You may transfer your booking into someone else's name - please just let us know before they attend.

Where can I contact you with any questions? You can email us at workshops@arranstreeteast.ie.

Thank you!

Established in 2015, Arran Street East is a pottery and weaving studio based in the markets area of Dublin city centre, where we make homewares to our own functional designs, and where our studio shop, and workshops are based. We use traditional crafting techniques to make and teach our craft, throwing on pottery wheels, and weaving on looms and frame looms. We enjoy sharing our handcrafting skills with the public through our year-round workshops and courses, and look forward to welcoming you to our studio shop and workshops.
