Chasing Abbey 

Nestled at the foot of the old Ballykeeffe Quarry,and just ten minutes outside Kilkenny city, Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is run entirely by volunteers and brings the authentic atmosphere of an open-air Italian theatre to the rolling Kilkenny countryside. The once-bustling slate quarry had lain abandoned and in disarray for many years, with most indifferent to its very existence.Lying beneath Ballykeeffe Woodland Nature Reserve which stretches to the edge of the quarry, the Amphitheatre now boasts a state-of-the-art steel canopy which perfectly compliments the astounding natural acoustics of the deep quarry walls, providing a magical experience for those attending the array of musical and theatrical performances hosted here.

Chasing Abbey is a hip-hop collective at the forefront of Ireland’s urban pop scene. Artists Ro (Outro), Bee (Bee Fade) and Teddy C (Kidman Kuz) make up the group, hailing from the midlands of Ireland.
Childhood friends, the trio are multi-instrumentalist producers, rappers and singers whose expertise helped skyrocket Chasing Abbey to unparalleled industry success in 2017, earning the group a global record deal with 3 Beat UK/Universal Music Group worldwide, as well as becoming award-winning artists for their debut self-release That Good Thing (winning the prestigious RTÉ Choice Music Prize Song of the Year award).
 Chasing Abbey’s second release Talk to Me exploded on radio, became an official track for the Football Association of Ireland 2018 and landed major television syncs. May 2018 saw the group release their third single Choices, which shot straight to the #1 in the charts within hours of its release. 
 In 2018, Chasing Abbey brandished their live capabilities playing to crowds upwards of 20,000 supporting The Chainsmokers/Rita Ora at Dublin’s RDS stadium, and headlining festivals like Sea Sessions and Longitude, as well as supporting Zara Larsson and Martin Garrix in Belfast, and Enrique Iglesias at the 3 Arena. The group’s debut tour The Rollout sold out across the country.
 With their latest track Hold On dropping to national critical acclaim (heralding Chasing Abbey as Ireland’s answer to Post Malone by District Magazine), an explosive live show in the tank and an impending EP dropping in April, Chasing Abbey’s 2019 is set to repeat and eclipse the dizzying heights of the outfit’s already incredible success story.

What can I bring into the event?
Remember to bring  those tickets and get set for an evening of fun and relaxation. This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately. 
As part of the licencing agreement, only alcohol purchased on premises may be consumed at the event. At each entry point, a security check will be performed. Any alcoholic beverages found will be confiscated.
Can children attend the event?
Children are always welcome here in Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre but patrons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.
Please note that for all up coming events, ID will be checked. Anyone under 18 without an accompanying adult will not be permitted.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The best transport option to the event is by car where there is ample parking on-site. Taxis also service the area from all local towns. Yes, the Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre is wheelchair accessible.
