Down the Rabbit Hole

Are you ready for a night of strategic fun ? Whether you are just starting to pawnder your moves ( 😇 ) or are a seasoned chess player, we got the event for you to come enjoy your hobby and meet other hobbyists! Through the evening, three different King-of-the-Hill style tournaments will be running side by side, each catering to different skill levels 📈 How It works:♟️ One player, picked at random, starts out as the king of the hill and has to defend their throne.♟️ One by one, players (or 'challengers') play against whoever is on the throne. Games have ten minutes on the clock for each player.♟️ If the challenger wins, they takeover the throne. If the king wins they stay on the throne and the challenger goes to the back of the queue to challenge the throne again.♟️ The player with the most wins by the end of the night takes home a prize - to be announced soon!♟️ In case of a stalemate, the players play again. The game does not count toward either player's win streak. If the players reach a stalemate again, the player who has used the least of their time wins. The three different skill categories are: Beginner (&lt;1000 ELO or unranked), Intermediate (1000 to 1500 ELO) and Expert (&gt;1500). And the entrance fee for each of them is just €5🥳 But there's only a very limited number of spaces so be sure to act fast 🏃 But it’s not just about the chess, it’s about the community! Mingle with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy a chill evening of chess with a good conversation. There will even be extra chessboards at the venue for you to use!
