CHILD
Dir. Cyrus Neshvad | Luxembourg | 2026 | 78 min
English, French, Luxembourgish and Russian, with English subtitles

From the Oscar-nominated director of The Red Suitcase.

To save their dying son, a father follows his wife on a mysterious journey where instinct eclipses morality, and the promise of life reveals the monstrous edge of a parent’s love.

Luxembourg-based director Cyrus Neshvad, of Iranian origin, has made a realistic horror film with no supernatural monster. The horror comes from us: from privilege, from what wealthy nations take from the vulnerable, and from love itself.

Screening as part of the 14th Silk Road International Film Festival.

Monday 9 November 2026 | 19:00
Máirtín Uí Chadhain Theatre, Arts Building, Trinity College Dublin
