Discussing international challenges and opportunities for marine plastic including waste fishing nets, ropes and components.

The half day event will bring together these key experts in the area of marine plastic pollution, along with Circular Ocean project partners from the Environmental Research Institute (Scotland), The Centre for Sustainable Design (England), Norwegian University of Science & Technology (Norway) and The Arctic Technology Centre (Greenland) to explore the challenge of ocean plastics, with a particular emphasis on the potential solutions for re-purposing waste Fishing Nets & Rope.

Guest speakers will include representatives from Volvo Ocean Race, Ghost Fishing International and Clean Coasts, along with our MC for the morning, the critically acclaimed comedian, columnist, broadcaster and Clean Coasts advocate Colm O’Regan.
