Climate Catchup - Beach Cleanup!

Climate Catchup - Beach Cleanup!

Bull IslandDublin, Dublin
Saturday, Apr 18 from 10:45 am to 1 pm
Overview

Join us for some fun cleaning up the beach and making a real difference for the planet!

This month Climate Catchup invites you to take it outdoors on the weekend! We'll be joining the Bull Island Action Group for their monthly beach clean up! Swapping coffees for litter pickers, we'll be embracing the Earth Day theme this year "Our Power, Our Planet" and getting stuck-in with local action.

Let's take the chats outdoors this month and join the fight against beach litter!

And after we've done and weather permitting, we can grab a coffee at the Happy Out Cafe (remember your resusable cup)!

About Climate Catchup: Climate Catchup is a (mostly) monthly coffee meetup that spun out of Small99's People, Planet, Pastry Dublin after they stopped. Climate Catchup is a casual coffee meetup for people interested in or working in climate or sustainability. No agenda or powerpoints!

About Bull Island Action Group: This month Climate Catchup is joining the Bull Island Action Group. Supported by Clean Coasts, the Bull Island Action Group is a volunteer organisation on Dollymount Strand. The aim of their activities is to clean the sand dunes, the beach and the biosphere. They meet on the third Saturday of every month, all year round regardless of weather conditions. Their meeting point is at the entrance to Dollymount Strand past Royal Dublin Golf Club. Litter pickers, gloves and rubbish bags provided.

About your host:Your host is Kate Williams, co-founder of Dublin-based startup Bold Donut. Kate's goal is to remove some of the "doom and gloom" from climate change by bringing some levity and fun to daily climate action through Candy Crush style digital games.
