CoderDojo Girls and Coding Grace: Parent & Daughter coding session

CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. Anyone aged seven to seventeen can visit a Dojo where they can learn to code, build a website, create an app or a game, and explore technology in an informal, creative, and social environment.

CoderDojo Girls and Coding Grace are hosting a parent and daughter coding event at Riot Games studio, Dublin! Whether you are a total noob or seasoned programmer, this event is open for everyone to attend. On the day we will be running Python workshops using Python Turtle! The sessions will be led by mentors from CoderDojo, Coding Grace and Riot Games.
Date: Sunday the 13th March  Time: 10:30 - 13:45pm
Schedule:
10:30am - 11am -- Registration and setup  11am - 12 noon -- Programming session 1  12 noon - 12:30pm -- Break  12:30pm - 13:30pm -- Programming session 2  13:20pm - 13:45 -- Show and Tell  13:45pm -- Finish
What should I bring?
Please bring your own laptop. If you have an additional one that your Daughter can use, bring that too. If you do not have a laptop please let us know and we can provide one for you. There will be a limited amount of these on the day so please let us know if you require one.
We will be using Python Turtle, we would ask attendees to download it to your laptop before the event. You can download it here:

Please note: All children will have to be supervised by a parent or guardian at the event.
