Do I need to have coded before?

No. This workshop is for beginners. This workshop is very much catered for those new to programming and interested in seeing what it is all about.  If you have a little knowledge, come along, but our target audience really is those who have never coded before.

What do I need to bring?

Yourself and your laptop . We do expect you to bring your own laptop. We will not be providing any on the day. This gives you a great opportunity to bring home what you work on, on your own device and continue coding if you wish.

We will be emailing out this information to registered attendees.

Is there food provided?

Yes, there will be coffee, treats and lunch available for all attendees.

Who is the workshop for?

The workshop is aimed at women that are: new to programming, returning to work, from unrelated disciplines but thinking of a career change, and  those working in the tech industry but new to coding.

Is there parking available nearby?

Parking is available in the Market Yard area for €3 for the day. Be sure to observe the parking signage for the area you are parking in. The ParkingTag.ie app is useful for parking in the nearby streets.

Why are we hosting this event?

We want to encourage females to consider a career in tech. We want to host a beginners coding knowledge share event for females wanting to know more about programming. We want to make the prcess encouraging, safe, relatable and approachable for females of varying backgrounds to engage and get info.
