About this event
This half day interactive workshop will commence with preparation for the workshop by framing the ‘In Her Shoes®’ experience through a Coercive control lens. Delegates will then work in small groups to navigate the various ‘stations’ designed for experiential learning about domestic violence at a number of locations in the Muirhevna building. Participants move, act, think and make choices through the lens of a person experiencing an abusive relationship. Afterwards there will be an opportunity to discuss the workshop experiences and debrief in a facilitated session entitled ‘Unpacking In Her Shoes® interactive exercise’. There will be multiple important networking opportunities throughout the day.
Important information:
· The ‘In Her Shoes®’ simulation contains material of a highly sensitive and emotive nature. This may be triggering for some individuals.
· The interactive exercise will involve movement across two floors. There is a lift available in addition to stairs if required.
