Interactive in nature; designed to present the science and stimulate discussion on key public health considerations of the climate crisis

About this Event

This is a collaboration between Cork Healthy Cities, the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) in University College Cork, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) & SHEP Earth Aware.

The first of it's kind in Cork City this seminar is designed to be interactive, with a combination of presentations by experts and practitioners in Public Health and the Environment.

The event will include a number of talks by experts in the area of climate change and health, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Dr Margaret Desmond, Senior Manager, Climate Services, EPA, with questions welcome from those in attendance

  • To inform the public of the key public health issues related to climate change
  • To provide the opportunity for the public to engage in a discussion on the public health impact of climate change
  • To determine the key public health issues for action in Cork City in the context of a changing climate

Refreshments will be available on arrival from 6.30pm
