Join Textile Journey crew: Niki Imelda and Sarah for a weekend of textile creativity and connecting with

People of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us and try weaving, upcycling an old denim trousers making lace and felting.

For the brave and curious there is an opportunity to create a piece as part of community panel that would go in Dublin Castle in September.

Niki Collier is an award winning visual artist who works in the area of constructed textiles and mixed media. She also produces a limited edition collections which are sold though artisan galleries throughout the world. Her work is sought after for its original design and  flawless execution. She shares her pieces through many design and craft centres in Ireland and exports to several European countries and America. Amongst them are the British Museum and Milan millinery boutiques. She is also the first felt designer to be part of the Kilkenny group collection.  Each piece: a hat, a scarf or a wrap stands out with its sophisticated colours and simplicity.  

Her personal work is often included in curated exhibitions and she has had biannual solo exhibitions. Her work has also been included in currated shows such as World Crafts Council, National Design and Craft Gallery, Kilkenny & Sculpture in Context.
