Cú Chulainn - Train 1
We are delighted to invite you to join us on board our Cú Chualainn steam train special on the Great Northern Line (Ireland).
Hauled by a heritage diesel 071 locomotive we will depart from Dundalk and head south on the mainline towards Dublin, crossing through County Louth, including Castlebellingham and Dunleer, before arriving into Drogheda after crossing the 30m high Boyne Viaduct. On arrival in Drogheda, our locomotive will unhook and change ends. After a short break we will be heading back towards Dundalk. The amazing sight and sounds of our train will delight young and old.
We have a snack car on board and for the adults a full bar serving draught Guinness and selection of beers, wines, spirits and much more. Great craic is guaranteed.
Our arrival back to Dundalk is scheduled for 14:30.
Please note that as with all our steam specials, we endeavor to operate this special with our advertised steam locomotive. We only have one operational locomotive available, therefore in the event of a failure of this locomotive or in a period of hot and prolonged dry weather, we may have to substitute the steam locomotive with a diesel locomotive. Please make all aware of this when booking tickets, as tickets will not be refunded in this instance.

Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE once purchased.
If travelling as part of a group - you MUST make one booking to be seated together. Seating requests cannot be made after.
You will receive your tickets by email as soon as your booking goes through. These are you tickets which you must print off or save to your phone for inspection on the day.
Seating allocations will be emailed, no later than 3 days before departure. Please check your emails.
Children aged 2 and under can travel free of charge on their parent's lap.
Child Tickets are valid for 3 - 15 year old's inclusive.
