Event description
In today’s digital world, all businesses need to be prepared for when, not if, a cyber-attack occurs.

About this event

Design and Creative businesses deal with a lot of confidential and highly commercially sensitive client information and assets. Information is often exchanged via email and hosted in the cloud. Employees are working from home on their own internet. They may also be working on their commute. Laptops/computers/devices may have been provided by you, the employer, or they may be the employee’s own device. They may be password protected but are they encrypted? Creative businesses also hold employee data and use third party software to execute their operations.

All of these activities confer a responsibility for the safety and regulation of the data.

Phishing, Social Engineering, Ransomware, Clickbait – in today’s digital world, all businesses need to be prepared for when, not if, a cyber-attack occurs.

Many businesses incorrectly assume that their IT team or third party software provider is responsible for a potential breach. While in fact, business owners and leaders (such as agency owners, studio owners, senior managers), will be held accountable by regulators and insurers and are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the organisation can demonstrate cyber accountability.

Protect your business and create a cyber-secure environment for your team and clients. This workshop will teach you how to anticipate security breaches and prepare your organisation’s response.

What is cyber accountability?

Cyber accountability is the ability to effectively prevent, detect, trace the source of a security incident or compromise, and quickly recover from a security breach. The Cyber Accountability principle is fundamental to regulations, standards, and frameworks such as the GDPR, PCI DSS, NIST, and ISO 27001.

This is particularly important in light of current and future security threats.
