Cybercrime is one of the biggest emerging problems facing legal firms today. Many firms have left themselves vulnerable to these cyber threats due to lack of awareness on the topic providing hackers with a prime opportunity to encrypt or expose their customer data. Losing this data or exposing sensitive or confidential information may be the most frightening thing to happen to a law firm, and we have seen it happen a number of times over the past few months with many law firms falling victim to the ransomware virus. There is no total solution to this ever evolving problem however, through awareness, there are ways to prevent firms falling victim to these cyber threats.
