Leitrim School of Art are excited to be hosting a one -day children’s Arts and Crafts Festival on Cruinniú na nÓg day, Saturday 15th June 2024. The festival offers a mix of creative activity led by experience Artists and is open to all children and teens aged 7-16 years. Activities are free of charge and will take place in both our Drumshanbo and Ballinamore Studios. Booking is essential.

Portraiture 12-16yrs.

This workshop is a fun approach to portraiture using a range of media and portrait techniques. Participants will explore versions of portraiture in various media from self-portraits to experimental portraiture, learning the skills and techniques to capture a character and personality in a portrait. The young people will take home their work at the end of the day

This event is free of charge and places are limited. If for any raeson, after booking, if your child is unable to attend the event please advise us as soon as possible to enable us to offer the place to another child.

This class is led by Cormac O’Leary. Cormac studied Fine Art at Sligo IT (ATU). Since graduating in 1991 Cormac has been teaching and facilitating painting and drawing classes to diverse groups of people throughout Ireland.

Cormac’s own work has been presented at many solo and group exhibitions in Ireland, UK, Netherlands and in the USA. In addition his work features in numerous collections worldwide including public and corporate collections in Ireland and the UK, and in private collections in Ireland, UK, France, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Portugal, USA, Australia, New Zealand & Japan.

All materials for the day are supplied. Light snacks are provided but it is recommended that your child brings a apacked lunch
