Dancing at Lughnasa
Coláiste De Lacy, as part of the their annual "Lady Gregory Project" proudly present Brian Friel's award winning play, Dancing at Lughnasa.
Dancing at Lughnasa
Directed by Sophie Kavanagh, this reimagined retelling of Dancing at Lughnasa finds Michael remembering the summer of 1985 in the flats in Belfast, where his mother and aunts prepare for the festival of Lughnasa. The Mundy Sisters, in search of love of fulfillment are met with the social pressures and economic depravation that would come to impact the course of the rest of their lives.
This production, as part of the school's annual Lady Gregory Project is entirely student led with financing, production, direction and performances all organised by our students.
