The Grand Social is excited to host David San Clair's launch for his debut EP "Anything Goes"

About this event

David San Clair aka David O'Brien (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Piano) is a Louth/Dublin based musician. He performs with his very talented band consisting of Josh Hackett O'Reilly (Lead Guitar), Cam Teehan (Drums), Louis Younge (Violin, saxophone), Dara Abdurahman (Bass) and Katie Phelan (Backing Vocals).

David has performed in numerous venues across the Irish capital, including shows in Whelans Upstairs, The Button Factory and Sin É. His style is a blend between folk, rock and indie which provides a unique repertoire for audiences. David and his band all attend BIMM Dublin music college. This is where they first met and solidified their bond for playing music together.

The anticipated E.P titled ‘Anything Goes’ is the next instalment in David’s career. This six song record features a lot of the crowd favourite tunes that David and his band play at each show. Some old and some new, this record promises to show fans a more complete version of David San Clair, but also a version that always develops. Songs such as ‘This Life’ and ‘Tell Me Something’, which have been included in David’s setlist since the bands formation in 2019, give fans a chance to finally hear these pieces as a recording. The E.P also features newer songs like ‘Anything Goes’ and ‘Tell The People’, that have warmed to the audiences at David’s recent gigs. Anything Goes will be released on August 12th, with an Launch show for the record set for August 10th in the popular Dublin venue, ‘The Grand Social’. One of the singles off the album, ‘Better Than Myself’, will be released on July 29th, to give people a taster of what’s to come!
