About this event

Diversity, Equality and Inclusion training is essential for childcare professionals. It introduces concepts such as inclusion and anti-bias approaches to working with children.

In the programme we take a detailed look at these concepts and how you can apply them to your practice.There will be time for sharing ideas and practice and hopefully provide some inspiration for all.

**Please note this is in-person training taking place in Kildare Education Centre**

This is a certified programme and certificates will only be issued on attendance at all 3 dates below. Attending EDI Training will allow you to meet the requirements of your Core Funding QAP under Option 5 – Participate in Quality Improvement Activities.

Location: Kildare Education Centre, Friary Rd, Kildare Town, Co.Kildare

Dates and times of Training:

Day 1: Wednesday 5th June, 9.30am-4.30pm

Day 2: Tuesday 11th June, 4pm-8pm

Day 3: Thursday 20th June, 4pm-8pm


Session 1: Introduce the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion Guidelines and to explore key concepts relating to Diversity, Equality and Inclusion

Session 2: To explore the impact of attitudes and values and to introduce the anti-bias approach

Session 3: To explore the role of the environment in supporting Diversity, Equality and Inclusion & To explore a range of strategies to support Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion and inform policy development

Please Note: Lunch is included on Thursday 9th, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements
