A civic celebration of Diwali an Indian festival of lights at Dublin's City Hall.

About this Event

Diwali is similar to Christmas. It signifies the victory of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. Over 1.3 billion people celebrate Diwali in India alone. Diwali is also an official holiday in India, Fiji, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Suriname and many other countries.

Q. Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?

A.This event is not recommended for under seven years old children.

Q. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

A. City Hall is situated at the junction of Dame Street and Parliament street, en route to Christ Church Cathedral. The building features four stone pillars framed by ornate balustrades. There are three entry points to City Hall; the Front Door from Dame Street, the West door from Castle Street and the side entrance from Barnardos Square.

Car Parks: Jury's Car Park Christchurch / Andrews Street Car Park / Drury Street Car Park By foot: A 5-minutes walk from Trinity.

Luas Stops: Red Line: Jervis/ The Four Courts, Green Line: St. Stephen's Green, Dart Station: Tara street / Pearse Street.

Q. What can I bring into the event?

A. Please do not bring backpacks or large items. Glass or cans, alcohol and any weapon will not be permitted.

Admission: Organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone under the influence of alcohol.

Photography: Professional photographers need to inform the organiser, and they need to take care of General Data Protection Regulation-GDPR at the Diwali Celebration.

Q.What's the refund policy?

A. Up to 15 October 2019, you are entitled to a full refund. After this, No Refund Policy will apply.

Q. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

A. An electronic or paper ticket is required for every person attending, including children.

Q. Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?

A. Tickets are non-transferable.
